Alessandra Sax-Lane holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College (USA) in Psychology and Child Development. She graduated from New York University with a Clinical Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Children, Adolescents and Adults. She completed her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology and Supervision in Counselor Education at Argosy University (USA). She has been a Lecturer in Child Psychology, Life-Span Development, Cultural Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Advanced Psychopathology, and Group & Music Therapy. She is also a licensed psychotherapist who has been in private practice for over twenty years, working with children, adolescents and adults. Since September 2006, she has been working at the American Community Schools of Athens. Currently, she provides services to students, faculty and parents school-wide as the PK-12 Counseling Psychologist and Wellness Director. Additionally, Dr. Sax-Lane is the coordinator of the Psychology Intern Program with the Department of Student Affairs at American Community Schools of Athens. She is an editorial board member and peer reviewer for the International Journal for Elementary Education and the American Journal of Applied Psychology for SciencePG. She is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BSPSY and MSPSY programs.
