Masoura, Kyriaki

Masoura Kyriaki completed her BA in English and American Literature, Language and Applied Linguistics at the University of Athens in 1993. She then spent a year teaching Language and Literature to a variety of students, and in 1995 completed her Masters in Twentieth Century Studies (English, American, Postcolonial Literature and Film Studies) at the University of Newcastle (UK), followed by her PhD thesis on the writing of Margaret Atwood at the University of York (UK) in 2001. Kyriaki has taught contemporary literature for the University of Newcastle, Centre for Lifelong Learning, and at the English Language Centre, Northumbria University at Newcastle, and in 2006 began permanent lectureship in the English and Creative Writing/Department of Humanities/School of Art, Design and Social Sciences, Northumbria University at Newcastle. She is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BAELL program.
