Kominea, Xenia

Kominea, Xenia is a biologist with expertise in molecular and cellular biology, neurobiology, reproductive genetics, and biomedical ethics. She holds a BSc in Biology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Athens. Her master’s thesis examined genetic and molecular mechanisms associated with reproductive outcomes. Her research experience includes experimental and translational work conducted at major academic and clinical institutions in Greece, including the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens and Alexandra General Hospital of Athens. She is the author and co-author of peer-reviewed publications on genome editing and ethical frameworks in human health research. Her scholarly work emphasizes evidence-based research, interdisciplinary scientific integration, and the application of biological knowledge to questions in human health and behavior. She is an adjunct faculty member in the General Education program.
