Strengths of the MATLT Program
The M.A. in Translation and Language Technology (MATLT) program reflects current and emerging professional practices in the field, as well as latest EU directives and practices regarding the translation industry. The MATLT has also been selected by the OPTIMALE research group (Optimizing Professional Translator Training in a Multilingual Europe) as a partner program for a research project on mapping emerging translation practices and trends throughout Europe.

Degree & Admission Requirements
Students complete a total of 8 courses plus a Thesis to earn the Master of Arts in Translation and Language Technology [MATLT]. The duration of the program is 12 months (full-time) or 16 months (part-time). An academic year includes two semesters, each semester running for 15 weeks. Successful completion of the MATLT program requires a total of 30 credits: Core Curriculum (24 credits / 8 courses), and Thesis (6 credits).

Admission Requirements
In addition to the required documents for admission, candidates who are applying for the Master of Arts in Translation and Language Technology (MATLT) must also submit: Evidence of English Language Proficiency or Greek Language Proficiency (for non-Greek citizens).

Professional Development
Students acquire the credentials needed to begin a career in the fields of translation, audiovisual translation and editing. Graduates are employed as freelance or in-house translators in translation agencies, businesses and law firms.Graduates can also pursue a career in audiovisual companies and the media industry as well as in publishing houses, and participate in EU calls for translation personnel (through EPSO).
