With more than 16 years of professional experience in the IT field, Spyridon Christopoulos holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The American College of Greece and a Master of Science in Information Technology from the Hellenic American University. He is the Information Technology Manager of the Hellenic American University and the Senior Systems and Network Administrator of the Hellenic American Union. Mr. Christopoulos is a Cisco Certified Instructor Trainer and a Cisco Networking Academy instructor for a variety of courses (CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Security, etc.). He holds several Cisco Certifications (CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Security, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNP), and has been awarded by Cisco with the Instructor Excellence recognition (worldwide). As of 2020, Spyridon is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BSIT and MSIT programs.
Iliana Katsaridou received her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow, Scotland. She also holds an M.Sc. in Marketing and Communication with New Technologies from the Athens University of Economics, an MBA from the Hellenic Organization of Business Administration, and a Maîtrise in Business Administration from Université Montpellier I, France. Dr. Katsaridou has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in diverse cultural environments and a range of business disciplines, and has contributed to various international research projects. A Research Fellow in Marketing and Sales Management at Vlerick Business School, Belgium, Dr. Katsaridou has also worked in the advertising and hospitality industries.
Her research interests include Services Marketing, Hospitality Marketing, Research Methods, Customer Service, Organizational Behavior.
Gerasimos Kontos received his Ph.D. and MBA from the University of the Aegean. His professional experience spans the lifecycle of Continuous Improvement projects through the application of Lean Thinking and Agile Methodologies, primarily in aviation. As a senior analyst for Continuous Improvement projects for an award-winning European regional airline he was responsible for reviewing and redesigning business processes for the airline and its main ground handling providers. Dr. Kontos is currently working on a research project that explores the educational challenges and managerial implications that aviation employees are facing as a result of Artificial Intelligence disruption. An instructor at Aegean University in project management, new product development and the digital supply chain, Dr. Kontos serves as an adjunct faculty member in the MBA program at Hellenic American University.
Ilias Gravalos received a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras in 2008, as well as his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He has participated in a multitude of EU-funded research projects focusing on computer and system networks (Passive Optical Networks - PON, Internet of Things – IoT) and has contributed to several publications in refereed international journals and conferences. Dr. Gravalos has held faculty positions at the Technological Educational Institute of Western Greece and at the Vocational Training Institute of Patras as Adjunct Assistant Professor. During his career he worked as a software engineer at the Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus", Patras and as a system architect at NOKIA Hellas, Athens. Dr. Gravalos is an adjunct faculty member at Hellenic American University, where he teaches in the MSI program.
Ilias Vongelis holds a B.A. in Economics from AUEB, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Concordia University, Canada. Dr. Vongelis has worked as a lecturer in Economics and is a certified Portfolio Manager from the Hellenic Capital Market Committee a certified Trading Representative of the Athens and Cyprus Stock Exchange and a practicing accountant licensed by the Economic Chamber of Greece. He has held prominent positions in the financial sector for over twenty years, serving as General Manager, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Executive Officer for Solidus Securities AEPEY, a leading retail non-banking investment firm, Chief Financial Officer in a firm devoted to renewable energy sources, and Credit Analyst in the Corporate Banking Division of the Bank of Cyprus. Dr. Vongelis is an adjunct faculty member at Hellenic American University and teaches in the BSBA program.
