Polychroniou, Nektarios

Nektarios Polychroniou holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Athens School of Law (Greece) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. (USA). He is the coauthor of Law - Company Law, Tax and Employment Law in Business and Management Practices in Greece - A Comparative Context, published by Palgrave Macmillan, London (UK) and the author of several papers on International Trade Law (EU - ACP & WTO framework). He is the managing Attorney at NJP Polychroniou Law, specializing in Business Law, and litigates before the Supreme Court of Athens, Greece. He advises and represents some of the largest corporations in Greece and abroad, and acts as a mentor and legal advisor at the Business Incubator of the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Botswana in Greece, Member to the Board of Directors of the Hellenic African Chamber of Commerce & Development, and special envoy to the European Business Council for Africa. He is the recipient of the Order of the Officials - Archon (Lord) of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa and has received the Golden Cross of the Greek Orthodox Bishopric of Botswana.

Martin, Marieke

Marieke Martin received her Bachelors of Science in BioScience and Technology from the University of New Hampshire, and her Masters in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Currently, she is working toward completing her Ph.D. dissertation in International Business Strategy, from Southern of New Hampshire University. Her area of research focused, under the tutelage of the former chief economist for OPEC, on Emerging Capital Markets, (specifically Eastern European Market nations such as Russia and Turkey), innovation and international new ventures. Ms. Martin has worked in the private sector participating in many government funded research projects focused both in finance and biotechnology. Prior to her recruitment at CitiGroup as a Wealth Manager, she worked as the Northeast Technical Specialist for the German biotech firm Machery-Nagel, a worldwide maker of medical research chemicals and filters, where she worked on corporate and government research project implementation and management, and U.S. and international business development.

Papageorgiou, Stergios

Stergios Papageorgiou holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Finance, from the University of Scranton, USA and a Bachelor of Business Administration, from the American College of Greece (Deree), Athens, Greece. He has close to thirty years of professional experience, beginning in NY with a major bank in the areas of Project Finance and Commercial Real Estate, before expanding his career predominantly to the shipping industry. Upon his return to Greece, he has joined Barclays Bank Shipping unit as a Relationship Manager, and following, as a Shipping Manager for a smaller Greek Bank. Subsequently, Mr. Papageorgiou is engaged as a consultant for several shipping debt restructuring projects and serves a container liner company as their Business and Finance Manager. In parallel to his professional career, he has held several teaching positions with several highly esteemed educational organizations, such as the American College of Greece, the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, the Cyprus International Institute of Management and more. Mr. Papageorgiou is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BSBA program.

Kalozoumis, Panayiotis

Panagiotis Kalozoumis holds a Ph.D. in Physical Sciences from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in theoretical physics and applied mathematics. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher for international and Greek research centers and Universities, including the Center of Optical and Quantum Technologies - Hamburg University (Germany), the Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Mans (France), the Physics Department of the NKUA (Greece) and the Department of Material Science at the University of Patras (Greece). He is author/co-author of 22 publications in high-impact factor, peer-reviewed journals, while his work has been presented in more than 15 international conferences and workshops. At the Hellenic American University, Dr. Kalozoumis serves as the Director of Information Technology and Engineering Programs.

Chalikias, Ioannis

Ioannis Chalikias is Emeritus Professor of Quantitative Analysis at the Department of Marketing and Communication of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He has been educated at Athens University of Economics and Business, London School of Economics and Warwick University, where he received a B.Sc. in Economics, a M.Sc. in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Applied Econometrics, respectively. He has held visiting appointments at the University of Surrey (Surrey European Management School) and the University of Strathclyde (Strathclyde Graduate Business School). His main research interests are in the areas of Quantitative Analysis and its use in Export Modelling and Export Performance of Greek Firms, and his work has appeared in journals such as the International Review of Economics and Business, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Applied Business Research, The Journal of Product & Brand Management, and others. He has extensive consulting experience and has acted as Project Management Consultant in two Regional Operational Programs of Greece, Chairman of MODA CHROMA SA, Consultant for PROPINDEX SA, Vice Chairman at State Deposits and Loans Fund, Member of the Management Board at Hellenic Post Bank, Vice Rector of Economic Affairs at AUEB and Member of the Good Practice Advisory Committee for the Hellenic Statistical System. Currently, Professor Chalikias is Senior Research Officer at the Export Research Centre of the Pan- Hellenic Exporters Association and Vice Chairman at the Company for Management and Development of AUEB Property SA, and currently, he serves as the Director of Business Programs at Hellenic American University.
