Philip Vos Fellman is a graduate of the Yale School of Management and Cornell University. He is the author of over 150 publications in approximately eight fields, including international business and finance, applied mathematics, and quantum physics. Dr. Fellman is a well-known speaker on the subject of modeling terrorist networks and has addressed NATO, The Military Applications Society of INFORMS, The International Association of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Academy of International Business, The North American Association for Computation in the Social and Organizational Sciences and several International Conferences on Complex Systems. He is a sometime member of the Academy of International Business and an active member of the New England Complex Systems Institute where in conjunction with Dr. Yaneer Bar-Yam (NECSI president), he completed a volume for Springer Verlag on using the tools of complex adaptive systems research to counter terrorism, insurgency, ethnic and regional violence. He was recently appointed as Special Advisor for Counter-terrorism to InterPortPolice (the International Association of Airport and Seaport Police.)
Vassos Vamvas has more than 20 years of international professional experience in a broad spectrum of business fields including environmental engineering, industrial automation, construction, transportation, media, finance, energy and management consulting. He was a project manager with CDM in Boston, CEO of Innomedia in Boston, CEO of the Invest in Greece Organization, CEO of Themis Construction, General Director and member of the founding team of ALPHA TV, and General Director of the Hellenic Railways. Mr. Vamvas holds a Master's degree in electrical & computer engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and has partially completed the requirements for a Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering & operations research at the same university. He was then accepted by and attended Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government’s Master in Public Policy Program finally earning a Master's degree in Public Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was also awarded a research assistant’s position at the MIT Energy Lab and a teaching assistant’s position for the graduate electrical engineering course in Stochastic Processes. His undergraduate degree is in electrical engineering from the University of Patras. Currently, he is a Senior Project Leader with a Boston headquartered management consulting firm, Baverstam Associates, and an Adjunct Professor at Hellenic American University where he teaches Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Manolis Syllignakis holds a Ph.D. in Finance and Econometrics from Athens University of Economics and Business, in Greece. Prior to that he received a M.Sc. in Finance and Econometrics from the Queen Mary University of London, UK and a B.S. in International Economics and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business. He currently leads the retail banking customer analytics team at the National Bank of Greece. Previously, he was a Global Equity Analyst at NBG Asset Management, responsible for designing models and presenting investment recommendations across all areas of the equity investment process (asset allocation, sector and stock selection, portfolio construction). He is an adjunct lecturer in Finance at Athens University of Economics and Business, has published several articles in peer reviewed journals, and has presented at international conferences. He has been certified as an Investment Analyst and as a Portfolio Manager by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission. He is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BSBA program.
Dimitris Philippopoulos holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and an International MBA from SDA Bocconi, Italy / Johnson Cornell, US Partnership. He is a partner in two Greek companies active in stationery, electronics and fashion. A specialist in the development of business plans, he teaches Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at Hellenic American University. He is an adjunct faculty member and teaches in the BSBA program.
Andrew Michael received his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Northcentral University and his Master of Arts degree in Economics from Northeastern University. Dr. Michael has over 20 years of experience teaching undergraduate business and M.B.A. level courses. Between 2011 and 2013, Dr. Michael was the main trainer for managers in Cyprus enrolled in the Certified Manager professional training program of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM). While living in Cyprus, he was a consultant to small businesses and also served as president/manager of voluntary youth organizations. Dr. Michael is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the "Journal of Organizational Analysis" and serves as a reviewer for the academic journals "Personnel Review" and "The International Journal of Human Resource Management". He has presented his research at various conferences and has served as chair for the HRM research track of the EuroMed Research Business Institute’s (EMRBI) annual EuroMed conferences. He has also published in peer review journals and edited books.
